Melanie Montgomery

Melanie is a Chemical Engineer turned Immunologist with a strong research interest in antibody development and in the biophysical characteristics of antibodies that make them successful therapeutics. After working on the Proteomics Platform at the Broad Institute, Melanie obtained a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California where she focused her proteomic skills on understanding protein signaling in cell-based therapies. Prior to joining BigHat, Melanie worked as a Protein Scientist at ImmunityBio, leading the development and characterization of antibody therapeutics. Melanie also holds a B.S. in Biological Engineering and an M.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.
